Chief of Party, Georgia Information Integrity Program

Location: Tbilisi, Georgia

Description: DAI seeks a Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated Georgia Information Integrity Program. The program will aim to build a platform for stakeholders to coordinate efforts in countering disinformation and strengthen the capacity of local actors to put out fact-based messages and diagnose, track, and respond to disinformation. The projected start date of the program is October 2020 and is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities: The COP oversees the implementation of all program activities and provides high quality technical and strategic leadership, managerial oversight, and administration of the project. The COP serves as the primary project liaison to USAID and local stakeholders and is accountable for the achievement of results, ensuring quality of services is maintained at the highest standard, and that all project objectives and deliverables are met. S/he is responsible for upholding financial and contractual compliance as well as leading technical direction for the program.

Minimum Qualifications:

** Master`s degree or higher in political science, international studies, or a related field
** Subject matter expertise and a thorough understanding of misinformation, disinformation, and the role of information in the formation and dynamics of values, beliefs, or identities
** At least five (5) years of experience as a Chief of Party, Program Director, Team Leader, or equivalent leadership position in the implementation of USAID or international donor projects
** Proven experience coordinating a broad and diverse set of actors and maintaining effective working relationships with media partners, civil society organizations, members of academia, legislators, government officials, bilateral donors, and in-country and foreign experts
** Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively with a wide range of diverse staff and stakeholders
** Strong communication skills - both written and oral - in English required

Preferred Qualifications:

** Experience living and working in Georgia or other countries in the Caucasus region
** Knowledge of USAID and/or DAI policies and procedures
** Fluency in spoken and written Georgian and/or Russian
