1.Characteristic:
The phenol has a density of 1.071 g/cm3, a boiling point of 181.8 ° C, and a melting point of 40.8 ° C; phenol is easily soluble in alcohol, chloroform, diethyl ether, glycerin, carbon disulfide, lye, acetic acid, and the like. Oxygen in the air oxidizes phenol to benzoquinone.
Pure phenol is a white crystal with a special odor. It is stored for a long time, especially in the case of sunlight. It is easily oxidized and is rosy or dark brown. Phenol is easily deliquescent and is weakly acidic.
2.Uses:

Phenol is an important chemical raw material, which can be used in the production of dye intermediates, resins, bisphenol A, polycarbonate, fiber, medicine, pesticides, etc.
